Why Salta?

Also known as "Salta la linda", the city of Salta was founded in 1582 by Hernando de Lerma. With a unique charm, Salta seduces its visitors with its unique combination of colonial buildings with white walls and red tiled roofs, and modern constructions, within an urban scheme that includes several green spaces among which the San Martin Park is delightfully noticeable, linked with Mount San Bernardo of 1466 m.a.s.l. by the funicular.

In its roundabouts there are numerous villages, monuments, historic places and ruins to visit, that reveal the presence of the rich Indian culture.

In the province of Salta, the Tren de las Nubes (Train to the Clouds) crosses the hills hundreds of meters in height. This attraction will offer you a unique view of Salta’s amazing contrasts of the snow on the highest peaks, and the red, violet and green colors of the living rock.
