Tango started initially as a dance for the lower class, but soon became popular in the whole city of Buenos Aires. As tango became so popular in Buenos Aires, it started to travel in the beginning of the 20th century to Europe and introduced the passionate dance there. Even through the hard times that Buenos Aires has had to face in the last centuries; great depression, economical depression and dictatorships, tango stayed very popular. Many people say that tango helped Argentines survive through these hard times. Tango has many different styles and is different in every part of the city, but in general it all comes near to walking graceful with a partner in music. It might seems to be easy but it isn’t, this is why there are so many tango schools in Buenos Aires, come and see it for yourself!
