Comprehensive Volunteer Program Abroad

You are in medical school, you are doing nursing or humanitarian studies and have an advanced domain of Spanish? What about expanding your knowledge in another culture by doing a volunteer work AND audit some classes of your field of study in one of the most prestigious Argentine university? That is what our Comprehensive Volunteer Program offers you!.

This program has been specifically designed for graduate or undergraduate students with an advanced level in Spanish. It includes a volunteer work in a social institution or a Non Governmental Organization based in Argentina for the duration of your choice PLUS 10 hours of intensive Spanish immersion classes in our institution PLUS the right to audit a course in an Argentine university.

1st week - Mundo Español
During your first week in Argentina you will have 2 hours of Spanish classes a day to refresh your memory and prepare you to successfully start your stay. You will learn conversational Spanish and your teachers will provide you with specific vocabulary related to your volunteer field as well as the most common Argentine expressions and words that you will need to attend university classes and to interact during your volunteer placement.

From 2nd week - Your host organization + University
After the 1st week of classes, you will have the possibility to arrange your schedule according to your wishes. You could do your volunteer work in the morning and attend some university classes in the afternoon or vice-versa. You could also prefer to attend a month of classes and then fulfill your volunteer position. We let you choose the best combination

- University
You will have the opportunity to attend classes of your field of study in a foreign country. No obligation to study and no exams, you will just audit the course to learn more and to discover a different way to look at your field of interest. Duration may vary according your wishes.

- You host organization
Based on your preferences regarding the activity you indicated in your application form, our team will activate our numerous contacts among social and non-governmental organizations to find the position that best suits your expectations and needs. After a week of preparation course, you will be totally ready to take the most out of this exciting experience.
In addition, Mundo Español will also assign you a personal tutor that will be your privileged contact all through your stay to make sure everything is going fine.

Mundo Español offers classes anytime of the year, but this specific program is only available from March to November due to summer holidays of Argentine universities (from December to February).
We have volunteer positions available all through the year, and all our host organizations are very flexible regarding the duration of volunteer works. You are the one to determine the length of your stay. However, in order to guaranty great benefits for you and the people you will be working with, we recommend that you stay at least 8 weeks within the organization.
