Por Que Bariloche?

San Carlos de Bariloche was founded in 1902 on the shores of the Nahuel Huapi lake in the province of Río Negro. The city stands out for its characteristic architecture that consists of buildings made from stones and wood with slated gabled roofs; and for being located in a privileged region due to the beauty of its landscapes made up of mountains, woods, lakes, glaciers, and an exuberant flora.

Bariloche can be enjoyed all year round. In the spring and summer seasons, it is ideal for all kinds of excursions and outdoor activities; in winter, Bariloche becomes one of the most important Argentine ski centers. During that time of the year, you will have the opportunity to attend the famous Fiesta Nacional de la Nieve (Snow National Celebration) which is a wonderful international sporting, artistic and social event.

The regional chocolates and preserves are much appreciated souvenirs among the tourist population. Some shops even show how they are prepared.
